Solid Waste Management

FEBRUARY 21, 2021 UPDATE

Dear Lakeway Resident,

We know many of you will have extra trash and tree limbs/yard waste from last week.

Waste Connections will be picking up extra trash at the curb in the coming weeks but it will need to be bagged and any tree limbs will need to be tied into 3'X3' bundles. They're prepared to work longer hours to take care of our residents, but they don't pick up large tree limbs as part of your regular or bulky service due to the damage they can do to their trucks.

We've set up large dumpsters for your use at the court building at 104 Cross Creek and at our Public Works facility at 3303 Serene Hills Drive. Lakeway residents are welcome to use these bins to dispose of any tree limbs or extra trash. Public Works will be open from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on weekdays, and the dumpster at the court building is open during the day.

Please do not dispose of any electronics (TVs, computers etc.) or hazardous wastes (paint, insecticides etc.) in the bins.

You can call us to schedule bulky pick up of any large items such as appliances or furniture. For bulky pick-up items, please call us at the number below.

We hope you're doing well and please let us know if you have any questions.

FEBRUARY 17, 2021 UPDATE

Due to continued severe winter weather and road conditions, our trash and recycling collection services will be suspended for the remainder of this week. Waste Connections will resume operations, according to regular service schedules on Monday, February 22.

Due to the suspended services this week, we know there to be many households with the need for extra service for the next two to three weeks. We will collect additional bags and bundles that are placed at the curb, above the normal set out limitations. Please make sure to bag any additional items.

Please call or email us to schedule any bulky pick ups, such as furniture and appliances. Please wait for a confirmation from us that you're scheduled before putting any bulky items out by the curb.

With city offices closed through Friday due to the weather, there may be a delay in a response, but we will return your message as quick as we can.

We appreciate everyone’s patience as we navigate our way back to normal operating conditions. We hope that you are staying safe!

Thank you for understanding and we apologize for any inconvenience!
