If your home was built and occupied after Oct. 21, 2002, a tree removal permit may be required depending on the size and type of tree. Refer to the current Building Ordinance 2002-10-21-3, sections 17.06 and 17.07. Most trees larger than 16 inches in diameter total will a tree removal permit.
Commercial property owners and homeowners with additional questions about tree removal permits and landscape alterations should call the Building and Development Services department at (512) 314-7540.
Routine oak pruning is prohibited from February 1st through June 30th due to high risk of oak wilt infection. Emergency oak pruning may be allowed during this period if the oak is a public safety or property hazard. Call the City Forester at (512) 608-9722 to discuss exceptions.

In the fall, winter and spring, lap swimming is available Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 6:00 am - 7:30 am and 11:30 am - 1:00 pm. Monday through Friday from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm.
During the fall, winter, and spring season the lap pool is heated to 82 degrees and the leisure pool is closed.
